Nigeria’s President, Muhamadu Buhari Increases Years Of Service for Teachers Approves Special Salary Scale
The President approved a special salary scale for teachers and also increased years of service for acidemias from 35 to 40.
The Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, announced this on Monday in a speech delivered on behalf of the President in commemoration of World Teacher’s Day.

The President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari through the Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu had on 5th October, 2020 during the 2020 celebration of world teacher’s day, announced the increase of teacher’s salary in all level of academic spheres.
President Buhari Increase Years of Service for Teacher’s Retirement Year
President Buhari as increase the years of service for teachers from 35 years in service to 40 years in service. This was announced by the minister of education, Adamu Adamu on 5th October, 2020 during the 2020 world teachers day celebration.
This means that, government schools teachers will serve for 40 year in teaching services for their retirements not 35 years as it was before.
