Diego Maradona Dead – Argentina’s ex-football star Diego Maradona is dead, he died at the age of 60.
The former Argentina attacking midfielder and manager had successfully undergone a surgery on brain blood clot early in November.
Afta the surgery, it was announced that they will treat him of alcohol dependency.
One of the greatest players of all time, Maradona was the captain when Argentina won the World Cup.
In a statement posted on social media, the Argentine Football Association express “their deepest sorrow on the death of our legend”, they add that: “You will always be in our hearts.”
Maradona playes for Barcelona and Napoli during his club career, he won two Series A titles with the Italian side.
He scored 34 goals in 91 appearances for Argentina, representing them in four World Cups.
Maradona led his country to the 1990 finals in Italy, but West Germany defeated them, He also captained his tram again in the United States in 1994, but he was sent home after failes drugs test for ephedrine.
During the second half of his career, Maradona struggled with cocaine addiction and he was banned for 15 months after tested positive for drugs in 1991.
Maradona retired from professional football in 1997, on his 37th birthday, during his second stint for Argentine giants Boca Juniors.
