The Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Mr. Udom Emmanuel has sent a new commissioners nominee’s and Special adviser’s list to the Akwa Ibomm State House of Assemble for screening and approval.
The list which comprises of eight names will be a major talk of war when approved by the State Assemble as many of the incumbent commissioners/SAs still wants to occupy the seat.
Since the inception of Gov. Udom’s administration is 2015, they have been this heavy reshuffling of important offices in the state executive council.
Some of the current commissions and Special Advisers are said to have been in office since the last administration of Godswill Akpabio and as such needs to reshuffled.

Gov Udom was said to have come under pressure from human rights groups to bring in new members into the state executive council in other to drop those who had been in office since 2013.
The list of the commissioner nominees and special adviser was sent by Gov Udom to the State House of Assembly and was read out by the speaker of the state house of assembly, Hon. Aniekan Bassey.

The speaker, Mr Aniekan Bassy who read the names of the nominees at Thursday’s plenary, forwarded the list to the house committee on judiciary, human rights, public petition for further scrutiny.
The speaker urged the committee to report back within one worker for approval.
Short Bio of the Akwa Ibom State New Commissioners and Special Advisers Nominees
Almost all the new commissioners and special advisers that will be appointed by the governor of Akwa Ibom State are currently holding political offices in the state.
Ini Ememobong: a loyal servant to the his boss, Gov Udom, Ini Ememobong is currently the publicity secretary of Akwa Ibom State chapter of People’s Democratic Party, PDP.
Frank Archibong: born on August 19, 1975. A local Government Chairman, he is from Eket LG.
Augustine Umoh: A professor of medicine and provost of the college of health science, University of Uyo Teaching Hospital.
Eno Ibanga: An Acting Vice Chancellor, Akwa Ibom State University.
Ini Adiakpan: A woman activist.
Enobong Udemeabasi Mbobo: Economist
The new commissioners and special advisers will be sworn in within two weeks.
