Onofiok Luke joins endsars protest – A Federal House of Representatives member and for speaker of house of assembly in Akwa Ibom State, Rt. Hon. Onofiok Luke and the CEO of Start Innovation Hub has indicated their support towards ending police brutality in Nigeria.
Mr. Luke made this statement through his comment on social media while responding to the CEO of Start Innovation Hub, Hanson Johnson’s call for him to lead a conversation in the green Chambers on police brutality.
Hanson said “Good afternoon Rt Hon. Onofiok Luke The youths in Akwa Ibom state rest easy because we have someone like you in the House of Representatives. At this very critical moment, we need you to lead the conversation on Police Brutality at the Chambers on our behalf. Thank you.#EndSARS.”

Responding to Mr. Johnson’s statement, the Federal House member assured Nigerian that he shares in the Agitation, that Nigerians should count on him.
“ I share totally in the agitations. I commit to joining my voice with that of Nigerians and my colleagues to push for those reforms in the country’s security architecture. I call for better policing by ensuring civility and humane treatment of the citizenry. Count on my voice.” Luke said.
Recalled that recently Nigerians has come out in masses to protest against police brutality, demanding that the President should scrap out SARS.
The police IG, Mr Abubakar Adamu had on Sunday 4th September, 2020 announced the ban of FSARS.
