Nigeria is the latest Country to adopt Madagascar Coronavirus cure, Covid-Organic, which Malagasy President, Andry Rajoelina is projecting as the cure for the looming Coronavirus.
The Presidential Task Force on Covid1-19 had on Monday, 11th May, 2020, announce that President Buhari has ordered for the Madagascar coronavirus cure (COVID-ORGANIC) from Guinea Bissau.
The Madagascar covid-19 remedy was on Thursday, 14th May, 2020, cleared by The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) as announced by the Director General of NAFDAC, Prof. Mojisola Adeyeye,
African countries that has adopted the Madagascar coronavirus cure are, Nigeria, Tanzania, Comoros, Senegal, Guinea Bissau, Chad, Equatorial Guinea.
What is Madagascar Coronavirus Made Of?
Madagascar covid-19 cure was launched as Covid-Organic by the President of Madagascar after coronavirus patients were tested positive after consuming the syrup.
The drink is made of Artemisia plant, its also a source of treatment for malaria with other Malagasy plants.
It is packaged in a bottle as a herbal tea for coronavirus cure and prevention after about 20 coronavirus patient consumed it and were tested negative.
“Malagasy Institute of Applied Reseach (IMAR) has tested it on two coronavirus infected persons and they were cured of the virus,” President Rajoelina said.
“This covid-19 remedy gives result within seven day,“He added.
According to the President, the country is working with foreign experts to produce the coronavirus cure as injections too.
John Hopkins University reports that Madagascar had last week recorded 158 confirmed cases and 99 persons has recovered while no death was recorded.
What You Need to Know About Artemisia Plant
Artemisia is an herbal plant found in Africa, one of it local names are wormwood.
In Hausa, it is called Tazargade and it is a popular herbs for malaria treatments.
Nigerian States like Kano has already started the herbs (Tazargade) when it was announced by Madagascar Government as the cure for coronavirus.
Is There Cure For Coronavirus?
World’s Health Organization (WHO) had on Monday warned that people should not use coronavirus remedies that has not passed through clinical test.
“Africans deserves to use medicines tested by WHO that is suitable for use by other people in the world,” WHO said.
“Even if therapies comes from Traditional natural source, it necessary to go through serious clinical test before it used” WHO added.
Meanwhile, African Union (AU) are in talks with Madagascar Government to obtain technical data regarding the efficiency and safety of the coronavirus remedy.
While reassuring the world about the safety and efficiency of the coronavirus cure, President Andry Rajoelina drank the syrup in the launching event saying its safe for children as well.
