New Covid19 Outbreak Updates in Nigeria – It is no news that there is a new coronavirus outbreak in Nigeria which in the past three weeks, over 11,000 new cases has been recorded.

The second phase of Lockdown in Nigeria may be announced by Federal Government due to the new outbreak of Covid19 in the country.
In week 51 report of Nigeria’s Center for Disease Control NCDC, the number of new Covid19 cases confirmed raised to 5,261 from 3,918.
These new cases of coronavirus was confirmed in 33 states of the Nigeria including the FCT.
The total number of discharged cases also increased to 2,213 in week 51.
Cumulatively, since the outbreak began in week 9, the have been 1,221 deaths recorded with a Case Fatality Rate (CFR) of %1.8.
The number of reported death due to the new out break of Covid19 in Nigeria is 24.
Last week, 270 travellers were tested positive after 7 days of quarantine.
In Africa, the count of Covid19 cases is still growing with over 2million cases recorded and 59,0999 deaths according to NCDC reports.
World wide Covid19 confirmation cases is 79,497,471 and death cases is about 1,686,267 globally resulting in a Case Fatality Rate of %2.2.
